Team retreat in Terchová: a whole house for 16 people
A company stay in the Malá Fatra without a hotel. The whole house for 16 people, three kitchens, a fireplace, a grill and a cycle path right behind the fence.
A company trip to a hotel has one flaw: the group scatters to their rooms and only meets at dinner. At Chata Ranto the whole house is yours. The living room with the fireplace, the long table on the terrace and the garden belong only to your group for the entire stay.
How many people fit
The house has 170 m², three bedrooms, a separate apartment and three bathrooms. In total there are 14 beds and two sofa beds, room for 16 people.
- Main bedroom: 4 beds
- Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3: 3 beds each
- Apartment with its own entrance, kitchenette and bathroom: 4 beds
- Living room with fireplace: 2 sofa beds
A smaller group can rent the house without the apartment: 10 beds and 2 sofa beds.
Where you cook and where you sit
There are three kitchens: two in the house and a third outside under the pavilion by the grill. Even with sixteen people nobody waits for the stove. On the covered terrace a long wooden table stands under a glass roof, and in the evening the group moves to the stone fireplace in the living room. Firewood and Wi-Fi are included.
A programme without a coach
Most of the programme is on the property or a few minutes away:
- table tennis and table football on the covered terrace, a trampoline and a volleyball court,
- free bicycles and the cycle path from Terchová to Žilina, which starts right behind the fence,
- the Jánošíkove diery gorges, 6 km away: waterfalls, ladders and boardwalks, the small loop takes two to three hours,
- the Vrátna valley, 9 km away: the cable car up to Veľký Kriváň, skiing in winter,
- Terchová, 2 km away: restaurants, shops and the Juraj Jánošík museum.
Parking on the property is free, with room for about ten cars.
What it costs
You pay for the house per night, not per person. The whole house including the apartment, for 16 people:
- 2 to 5 nights: €315 per night
- 6 to 9 nights: €285 per night
- 10 nights or more: €265 per night
With a full house that is just under €20 per person per night. The price includes firewood, water and sewage, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and parking. Electricity is charged separately by actual consumption. The minimum stay is two nights.

Terchová is two kilometres away, the Jánošíkove diery gorges six and the Vrátna valley nine. The cycle path to Žilina starts right behind the fence.
