An autumn stay in a cottage in Terchová: hiking, nature and evenings by the fire
An autumn stay in Terchová: the whole house for up to 16 people, a fireplace with firewood included, three kitchens and hikes minutes away. Prices inside.

In autumn you spend more time indoors in the mountains than in summer. The days are shorter, the evenings longer, and after a hike everyone is glad to warm up. That is why, on an autumn trip, where you stay matters more than how many kilometres you walk.
A house for the whole group
Chata Ranto has 170 m², three bedrooms, a separate apartment and three bathrooms. In total there are 14 beds and two sofa beds, room for 16 people. The house is rented as a whole, so you will not meet other guests and the shared spaces are yours alone. A smaller group of up to four can take the apartment on its own, with its own entrance.
The fireplace and long evenings
The heart of the house is the living room with its stone fireplace. Firewood is included, so you can light it every evening without counting logs. Next to the fireplace is a dining table that seats the whole group, and beyond it sofas with a TV. In autumn this is where the next day gets planned.

Three kitchens for cooking together
Two kitchens are in the house and the third is outside under the pavilion by the grill. In autumn most cooking happens indoors, but on a dry day it is worth lighting the grill even in October. With sixteen people, the difference between one kitchen and three is very noticeable.
Covered terraces and the garden
The house comes with about a thousand square metres of fenced grounds and roughly a hundred square metres of covered terraces. The covered upstairs terrace has table tennis and table football, and the garden a trampoline and a volleyball court. Wet jackets and boots have somewhere to go after a hike, instead of ending up in the bedrooms.

Hikes minutes away by car
Nižné Kamence is the lower end of Terchová, two kilometres from the village centre. The car park for Jánošíkove diery in Biely Potok is ten minutes by car, and Štefanová and the cable car at Chata Vrátna are under twenty. The cycle path to Žilina starts right behind the fence and bicycles are free for guests.
